A self-described small business advocate, Tim Murrill is an SBDC Director committed to helping business owners succeed by developing quality programs and leading a dynamic and highly-skilled group of business advisors to serve the small businesses in Solano and Napa Counties.

As a former Director of Global Sales for FedEx and former business owner, Tim has developed a unique perspective on the challenges associated with running a successful small business. Influenced by his years at FedEx and forming, growing and selling a company of his own, he aspires to do everything possible to help small businesses take their business to the next level.
As a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, Tim has worked with dozens of leaders and leadership teams to help them understand and tap into their unique talents and strengths to maximize results.

Ed Troxell is a Video Coach and online Marketing Consultant for Real Estate Agents and solopreneurs. He breaks down all the complicated tech parts of running an online business and removes the mindset barriers holding you back from showing up more online. As a former Apple Inc. employee, Ed brings a unique skill set from sales, marketing, strategizing systems, and processes, to teaching the importance of showing up on video so that you can stand out as the industry expert online.

Roberto is the founder and CEO of Braven Agency, a small business digital marketing agency based in Los Angeles. He’s run over 100 digital marketing workshops with Google and in turn helped many small businesses grow. Roberto’s 15 years of digital marketing experience gives him the chance to use all his knowledge and skills to become a hands-on coach and help small businesses reach their potential. He also has a passion for humanitarian work and was recently in Barranquilla, Colombia, to raise awareness and support for the Venezuelan refugees.

Michael Basayne, with a career spanning banking, consulting, and government, has been involved with Small Business Development Centers since 2009, focusing on agriculture, the wine industry, and real estate. With a strong commitment to skill enhancement and continuous improvement, his banking experience began in the San Joaquin Valley's agriculture sector, expanding to commercial, corporate, and investment banking, including work in California's wine regions. As a consultant, Mike specialized in succession and transition planning, encompassing business valuation, construction, project management, and performance planning for families. His tenure in Napa City and County government involved land use decisions promoting conservation, watershed protection, and open space. Mike holds degrees and certifications from St. Mary's College, U.C. Berkeley, and the University of Washington, and currently conducts workshops at Napa Valley College.

Cathy Balach is Lead Business Advisor for the Solano-Napa SBDC as well as President of Vinjoy Inc, an online marketing tech company. She is a trailblazer in the world of online marketing, with a fervent passion for strategic marketing, including AI, video, website design, and content development.

Her impressive career includes working with PepsiCo and PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as founding three successful startups. With over 15 years of experience, Cathy has been a guiding light for hundreds of startups and growing businesses in the North Bay, providing invaluable consulting and mentorship.

Her expertise spans a diverse range of industries, from retail (both online and brick-and-mortar) to food businesses to online businesses of all kind. Her entrepreneurial spirit shines through in her own ventures, having founded three businesses herself.

As the founder and host of WISE (Women in Successful Enterprises) by SBDC, Cathy continues to empower and inspire women entrepreneurs in the community.
